The acquisition of Chateau Figeac by Henri de Chevremont and his daughter in 1892 promised to be the start of much needed time and stability for the estate, but alas this was not to be the case. Another false start was in 1905, but again the enthusiasm was not there. It finally happened when in 1947 Thierry Manoncourt took control and then later joined by his wife Marie-Franc the true potential and promise of Figeac was realised. Today the estate is still in the hands of the same family and it is Thierry and Marie-Franc's daughter and son in law who are in charge, Laure and Count Eric d'Aramon. The vineyard is planted to Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, both of which are 35% and 30% to Merlot with a density of 6,000 vines per hectare.
