Chateau Leoville Las Cases is undoubtedly one of the big names and wines of Bordeaux and is also one of the largest in Bordeaux.  It did have an erratic period during the post-World War II era, but since 1975 and onwards it has produced a string of successes. The density of plantation is 8,000 vines per hectare producing 216,000 bottles of Chateau Leoville Las Cases and 240,000 of Clos du Marquis with plantings of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
