Saint Emilion

The 2018 vintage will be remembered for the high risk of mildew. Vignerons had to use all their knowledge and experience in their fight against this fungus.

The very wet conditions at the start of the year produced sufficient water reserves to create a successful growing cycle. This level was maintained by further rainfall in May, June and early July. Fortunately, conditions changed radically in the subsequent months until the end of harvest in October, producing grapes of exceptional quality.

2018 will be remembered as the “Phoenix” – a splendid harvest and vintage, rising up out of the ashes of the difficulties of the winter and spring.
