Release | Cos D'Estournel 2020
Cos D’Estournel 2020 has been released this week. The 2020 will be in a beautiful black and gold engraved bottle that celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Cos D’Etournel acquisition by Michael Reybier.
Critics have given the wine high praise, giving it 97-98 points, James Suckling said that the 2020 is a “refined, polished Cos with superb finesse and length”.
However, the 2020 vintage has increased in price, being offered by the international trade for £1,800 per case of 12. This is 31.6% more than the current Market Price of the 2019.
The name Cos translates to a "hill of pebbles" in Gascon dialect and the name Cos d'Estournel came from Louis-Gaspard d'Estournel, who gave the name in 1810.
