This has gone back to form after the slump of the 1980s and early 1990s and vintages from 1994 onwards are equal to the best wines that have ever been produced on the estate. This is one of the most interesting super-second Bordeaux. It has a density of plantation of 10,000 vines per hectare with plantings of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Two wines are produced: Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou and La Croix de Beaucaillou.
